Rams get trampled by stampeding Colts

by admin on October 26, 2009

Well, here we are at the end of week 7 in the NFL and the Rams, sadly, are, again, at the very bottom of that pile, still winless. Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, and the rest of the Indianapolis Colts came into St Louis and absolutely decimated us 42 – 6 confirming us as ranked not only worst in the NFC West, but worst in the NFC and worst in the NFL.

The colts first drive took just over 6 minutes and ended with a 6 yard pass to Reggie Wayne in the end zone for 6.

It ended when we turned over the ball on a 4th and 1 incomplete pass. The next play? a 31 yard touchdown. The Blow out was complete and our losses have not been stemmed.

At 0-7 we have the also struggling Lions next week. The problem is we are down Bradley Fletcher our third round cornerback pick for the season and possibly beyond. You’ve got to feel for the guy to go down in his third pro game like that and go out for an entire season and possibly beyond.

Right now we’re playing for a draft pick, that’s obvious. With teams like San Francisco having two picks in the first round we may be able to move things around to get the best bang for our buck next year.
